DESCRIPTION

Are you looking for an easy and fun way for your students to practice addition and subtraction? Do escape room breakout games interest your students? If your answer is yes, this virtual escape room is sure to be a hit!

In this digital Escape Room Breakout Game, your students will practice 2 digit and 3 digit addition and subtraction with and without regrouping. These digital task cards will take your student on an adventure escaping the Zombie Beach!

Your students will be engaged and have fun while not realizing they are learning and practicing skills! Win! Win!

There are 53 task cards with 15 questions to answer. There are 14 clues for a 3 word phrase. Letters will be given for correct answers. When all 14 letters are collected, students will unscramble the letters to figure out the password. *Each earned letter will indicate which word it belongs to.

For each incorrect answer there is a hint card that explains the skill and, in some instances, gives examples.

The story:

You are on a tropical vacation, but Zombies have taken over the beach! You need to act fast! You can’t get on the ESCAPE SHIP without the PASSWORD. You must find all of the clues to get the password to escape on the SHIP so you can leave the Zombie-infested beach! Hurry before YOU are LEFT BEHIND!!!

It’s all up to you! Save some friends along the way and you will get rewarded. You need 14 clues to crack the code to get the password to the ship. Good luck and stay safe!

How it Works:

Students will travel to 3 different beach scenes, clicking on objects, to take them to a question. Each scene will have 5 clickable objects.

  • If they get the answer correct they will get a letter clue.
  • If students get an answer incorrect, it will take them to a hint card. Then, they will go back to the scene to try again.
  • Once they think they have figured out the password, they will go back to the 1st scene and click on the ship. (It is labeled so they will know where to go)

There they will enter the password. If they get it correct they will escape.

If not, they will go back to the rooms and look for missing clues.

  • 6 differentiated clue trackers are included to help your students keep clues and game play organized.

This is an interactive, no print resource.

What educators are saying: My students loved using this during summer school. It makes it fun to add and subtract double/triple digits. AMAZING! Students were able to do an escape room on their own! They loved it and worked so hard to crack the code.
